Dear Friends - I need your help making a very big decision!
Today I met my new acupuncturist (Su) - she is an expert in fertility acupuncture and after an hour chatting through my history and story she put 14 needles in me and left me for 25 minutes - as you know the old acupuncturist never did this and it was all a bit odd.
Su thinks my combination of PCOS, Asthma and a high-cheese diet mean that my womb is too slippery for embryos to stick and that I am so bloated due to the fact that I have a very slow digestive system and therefore am retaining far too much water.
She therefore gave me the following dietary advice which as of tomorrow I am going to follow to a tee (I am eating choc as we speak :o))
* Cut out cheese and bananas
* Eat lots of vegetables - especially green ones!
* Include spinach, red meat and liver in your diet.
* Avoid eating cold or raw food and cold drinks from a fridge
* Eat wholemeal or brown bread/rice/pasta
* Minimise sugary food intake
* Avoid fried or greasy food
I can do this - I can. I may love cheese and cake but I would love to have a baby FAR more. So this is what I am going to do :o)
Now to the difficult part! She said my haywire and abnormal periods since the IVF indicate that my body is in turmoil. In her experience thats the worst time to go again as the body isnt ready for it. She said your body needs to be in the best possible place. She thinks I should wait longer before going again to give my body a better chance to become hospitable? But every month that ticks by is another month in limbo! Another egg gone and another month older - but if I do rush am I making a huge mistake and setting myself up for failure again? I think I may make an appointment with my specialist and see what he says?
What do you all think?
Please help?
