Back to work today after a gorgeous four-day weekend with G and my friends. I am pretty sure the Synarel spray is making me really really tired! I could barely keep my eyes open this afternoon and I have so much work to do at the moment. EEK!
I am trying consciously to keep doing things that will occupy my mind other than babies and getting pregnant. So I enjoyed the welcome escapism of the first meeting of the Swindon Literature Festival. I am part of the group of organisers and I am responsible for publicity. I love it - I get to meet so many interesting people and do/talk about something I enjoy . Last year I was looking after Julian Clarey before he went on stage to talk about ‘devil in disguise’. I had gone to get him a chocolate bar and bought it back to his dressing room - get there and he is stood in just tight white pants! I didn’t know where to look. I also got to meet a Jane Austen expert which was a real personal highlight for me. I also met Deborah Moggagh who wrote the screenplay for Pride and Prejudice, it was amazing - I got to speak to her about what I thought was wrong with the casting etc and she agreed! I got a signed copy of her book Tulip Fever - read it - it was fab!
Having said all of this I think I need to find the balance between keeping busy and running myself into the ground. I am in danger of doing the second. I need to learn I can’t do everything!
Today I got more cards and pressies and I hope my friends know that I appreciate all of them - I have been so spoilt this year!
Couldn’t get through to fertility nurse today - will try again tomorrow!
Night all
